On Wednesday, 6th November 2019, in a conversation with the correspondent of NUESA Press, the financial secretary of NUESA UI, Mr Oluwatobi Adeniran briefed our correspondent on the statement of income generated so far and the amount spent on expenditure from the inception of the HOPE team led administration till November 2019.
”Dear Educators, according to the promise I made during my campaign to be transparent and accountable about the financial situation of the association and also to serve as intermediary between the students and the executive, here is a review”- the financial secretary stated.
A total number of 642 students has paid from the 100 level (Dues, shirt, and dinner) amounting to the sum of #3,979,400. For stalites, a total number of 814 students has paid (dues, shirt, and dinner) amounting to the sum of #1,688,300 and for the finalist, 600 students paid so far (Due, shirt and dinner) amounting to the sum of #1,231,500. In summation, he said the total number of income so far is #6,899,200 while amount of vital expenditure so far is #2,415,100.
He went further by explaining that the analysis of other expenditure will be comprehensively presented to the NUESA FLC in subsequent presentation and activities. He further implore educators who has not pay their dues to do so and the 100 level students in particular should do both their department and faculty registration because the faculty management has reported that some 100 level students have not done the faculty and department registration.
Mr Oluwatobi apologizes to educators for not providing the financial situation of the association as promised in his manifesto on time and promise to be transparent and accountable in subsequent times.
